About Das Hund Haus
Behind the Name
Enticed by the German language and its contributions to the dog world, owner Jill Wallace chose a name for her pet care facility that stands out among the rest: Das Hund Haus. Literally translated, it means "The Dog House." As a German Shepherd is known to the world for its hard work ethic, its athletic build, and its intelligence, Das Hund Haus was founded on core values of education, fitness, and quality service.
Convenient
Our courses are provided in an online format so that they are accessible to everyone. There is no need to make time in a busy schedule to travel to the facility for once-a-week one hour lessons. Instead, work at your own pace whenever it fits into your day!
High Quality
Our mission is to improve human and animal lives by providing quality educational services and exceptional customer service while providing a safe, reliable, and affordable training and pet care facility in our community. We aim to be the top choice for every dog owner, animal shelter, adoption center, and rescue organization in Polk County.
Goal-Oriented
With proper training for dogs and their families, we hope to:
- Reduce the number of injuries to humans due to improper handling of animals.
- Reduce animal cruelty as a result of improper animal care.
- Reduce the number of animals surrendered each year to animal shelters.
- Reduce the burden on governmental agencies
Affordable
With no instructor to pay and no building space to rent, we can offer our online courses at a reduced rate compared to our OnSite in-person group classes!

Zac's passion for animals started when he was very young. He had always had dogs in his life and knew that training was his calling. He began working with dogs professionally in 2014 by volunteering with the Humane Society as well as running his own dog-sitting business and holding multiple management positions through various boarding/daycare facilities. Zac joined our team in 2023 and showed a great aptitude toward working one-on-one with our training clients and bringing a fresh humor to our group classes.
